Bench seat upholstery
Any recommendations for a online upholstery company for new covers for 1962 d200 bench seat.
Re: Bench seat upholstery
Believe it or not, I used JC Whitney before and have had good results at a good price. They can make almost any cover for any classic in a variety of vinyls. I got a nice set of front and rear replacement covers for my 63 Bel Air almost 10 years ago and they are holding up great. These are not universal covers, they get hog ringed into place over your original foam.

Re: Bench seat upholstery
I have a 65 that has vinyl around the edges and a fabric insert. I called SMS and they were able to find the exact fabric for my truck...even sent me samples before I ordered it. http://www.smsautofabrics.com/ It was not real cheap but original which no one else had. I found a few options online and it seemed like the regular bench seat covers just did not fit real well. The good bench seat covers would cost over $150 shipped...I opted to have a new cover made with all new foam and all. It cost me about $300 total with the fabric from SMS.

I too used SMS - not real cheap - but they do have the real deal original factory stuff if that is what you want.

Re: Bench seat upholstery
so how did the process work with SMS?
Is there shipping involved? who actually puts the foam and fabric on?
