Is the windshield the same on D100's and D200's?
Mine is 1968 D200.
How hard are they to get? Will I need to salvage one or does somebody still manufacture these things?
I called a shop and they laughed at me!
What does it take to get a new windshield, and am I going to have to source the mounting hardware and seals somewhere??
Thanks in advance for any advice or information at all..
I have a crack that is delaminating and some "spiders" and also *severe* water leaks above and ahead of driver's head....

Windshields are available new along with weather strip at most GOOD glass shops.

Re: Windshield
My boss just had the windshields replaced in the Pete I drive. I happened to stop by with the PW just as they were finishing up. These guys indicated finding a new windshield should be no problem. Said it would likely be about $250 if they came to my place and did it.MOPAT wrote:Windshields are available new along with weather strip at most GOOD glass shops.

Re: Windshield
A couple years back I checked with Bloomington city Glass here in south central Indiana and they told me about $300.00, but something about it is made in a different quality like the newer windsheilds, i did buy a new windsheild gasket through Steel rubber products, i copped out and found a used winsheild from a 65 d 200 and installed it into a 69 d 100, it went in easy with the help of my mother and i (mom had helped with other winsheilds before), the wife helped a little,
