Some new pics of my 1971 D100

I bought this truck almost 2 years ago and it was completely stock with the old 318 in it that had seen better days. It's taken some time but I'm really happy with how the truck has turned out so far and just wanted to share a few pics and a few details. The old 318 was taken out and a 440 (probably a 447 at this point) was built to replace it and ditched the carbs for fuel injection. There is a custom 2.5" dual exhaust (x pipe) with some flowmaster 40 series. Leaf springs have been de-arched and new Bilstein shocks installed. Disc brake conversion has been completed up front along with a set of 20x9 Detroit Steel Wheels. Haven't finished up the interior quite yet other than getting the bench seat done in a black leather with houndstooth inserts. Removed the gas tank out of the cab and had a custom low profile tank built that sits underneath the bed of the truck behind the rear axle and simply fill it thru a trap door in the bed of the truck now. Hoping to get the interior completed in the next month or so.

Wow! That's quite the trim package, and still intact. Amazing. Were the wheels stock?

Those wheels are not stock, ordered them from Detroit Steel Wheel Co. I have the stock wheels and hubcaps with a brand new set of tires on them that I will probably look to sell in the future at another show or swap meet.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Updated a couple of the pics in my original posting. Really love this truck. Went to my first car show a couple weekends ago with it and even though the interior isn't completely done was able to get a "Top 75" Award which I was surprised given there were over 500 cars there. People really love the fact that it's a Dodge and don't see many of them and just the simple beauty of it.

Those Detroit speed wheels are really a nice touch! Very subtle but also different at the same time. Nice truck

Was wondering if you knew what headers are on there? Any problems fitting with the steering? I bought the off-brand hugger headers but haven't gotten to the exhaust yet. Your headers look like they fit pretty well.

Also, which Bilstein shocks were you able to find?

The headers are Flowtech Long Tube and no issues at all with fitment. The Bilstieins are from the 4600 Series (Part #24-284670).

As I had mentioned only had the bench seat redone so back inside on the interior and I just thought this was a cool pic of everything pulled apart.
Having the dash painted, and painted the steering column. Retrosound stereo being installed and just going thru everything, changed all the gauge bulbs too. Not in the budget this year for an upgrade to Dakota Digital or aftermarket A/C but maybe next year.

How did you go about tucking the edge of the acoustical mat under the lip atop the door footwell (I am assuming) with room left for carpet? It looks almost as if it had been compressed with heat.
