Interesting. Is that a /6 in there? Really wonder what the hood is going to look like.

Re: Sweptline/Challenger combo
Oh yeah, I can. Thanks for pointing that out. I think I was fooled by the tiny air filter.
I wonder if this is on the Challenger frame or the Sweptline frame. If the latter, was there IFS added?

Re: Sweptline/Challenger combo
That looks like a Challenger IFS from the shadows, to me....the new Challengers overall length are really short compared to the old ones. Challengers are unibodys, so chances are it's a Swepty frame with a new Challenger IFS, that's the way I would go. They look about the same width and molded a nice bodyline to match them up. A Sweptllenger. Post anymore pics that you find for it please.

Terry knows all about the "shadows"....nytemuvr wrote:That looks like a Challenger IFS from the shadows, to me....

Looks like a poorly done Photoshop job.

Re: Sweptline/Challenger combo
Not that I agree with the guy doing this, but for the hood, I think I'd use an early hood with a late hood center section. Cut the center dished panel area from an old hood. Once the sides have been modified to make the two body lines match, insert the center section from a late hood.Dood wrote:... Really wonder what the hood is going to look like.

Re: Sweptline/Challenger combo
If Photoshopped, why wouldn't they finish it. Think it's someone with a different view. It's could be done and not that hard.
Re: Sweptline/Challenger combo
True. The image itself looks odd but it could be my eyes.

Re: Sweptline/Challenger combo
My money says it's real. Look at the shadows. Then look at the metalwork on the fender to make it line up. If it's photoshop, the guy belongs in Hollywierd doing movie effects.Jim100 wrote:Interesting but photoshop I think.

Re: Sweptline/Challenger combo
Its real, I used to own it...Pea green 64 short bed with /6 3 on the tree I bought out of Louisiana from an ad on Sweptline. I gave it to my friend James whos a Chrysler freak from way back.....He totalled his Plum Crazy Purple tubbed 71 D100 so I gave him that 64 and we dropped a 70 383 with 509 cam down into it with a hi stall convertor and went mustang hunting. Next thing I know he calls me and ask if he can put a Challenger nose on the truck without it hurting my feelings. I told him as long as he saved the 64 front grill and headlamp core support for me i wouldn't mind. Hes got the sectioned 64 hood back on it now with twin 67 gtx scoops mounted, looks way better but needs some finishing. It just has 2 leaves taken out of the front and rear springs, stock suspension but he did recently put a Thunderbird Ford 9 inch in it to get rid of the old 8 3/4 with flanged taper axles. Hes in Houston , old mopar hippy, hes also got a tubbed 70 Nova with a tweaked 440 in the engine bay as well as a tube frame 66 belvedere that hes putting together. His last combo that he recently sold was an old Jaguar Xj6 with transplanted motorhome 440 and homemade headers. We called it the Mocat.
