Hopefully..... a bunch....soopernaut wrote: I thought all the people with huge Sweptline collections were already on the site. I wonder how many more large collections are out there.
Yes you are correct.........It was Bubba's. I found a CSS Short Wide that I have verified thru Ben and am planning to use Bubba's to complete it. Although the body is completely shot on Bubba's, the drive line, interior and components are still good. As you probably know, the life of Bubba's truck was well documented and has 42,000 miles on the drive train. Spent a few hours and got the engine running on it. Pulled the valve cover to replace a bent push rod to find pristine inners. Once I am finished with the Shorty I should have a date code correct CSS truck. Although that might not mean alot to some, it will to folks like you and I. According to Ben a short wide CSS is pretty rare. Anyway......thanks for the interest and I would appreciate any advise you might offer.soopernaut wrote:Hobcobble wrote:Hobcobble wrote:Nice collection. That '66 CSS is a cool truck.![]()

I was going to say the same thing. You can see the cutout in the back.

Put an ad in the Parts Wanted section.68slant wrote:WOULD LIKE TO BUY THE WINSHEILD OUT OF THE 68 IF ITS FOR SALE AND NOT CRACKED. NICE COLLECTION.
I got a new one put in my 63 last year. Was around $300 w/ new weather stripping. I think it was Safelite, but I can't find my records. A couple companies I called didn't have them even though their online records said they did, so don't get worried if the first or so say they're not available. They are.Hobcobble wrote:Put an ad in the Parts Wanted section.68slant wrote:WOULD LIKE TO BUY THE WINSHEILD OUT OF THE 68 IF ITS FOR SALE AND NOT CRACKED. NICE COLLECTION.
