Saved some parts from the crusher

Local crusher guy here pulled this into his yard a few weeks ago. I've sold him a few things before and knew he would sell, so i finally got around to pulling parts this weekend. Was able to save the whole front clip, two nice diamond plate side tanks, the doors, oil bath air cleaner, and dome light. Apparently this had been sitting on a farm in Orient for quite a while. It's a 600 series, looks like a 66 or so.

Great save! Large series Swepty fenders aren't easy to
find in decent shape.

Yea John the fenders are in really good shape considering what the rest of the truck looked like. Floorboards were very rotten and so were the cowl areas on the cab. I was pleasantly surprised. The grill and pie plates will probably go on my wall along with another grill i have hanging.

Was it you that cut the full rocker/step pieces off this truck?

You did very good in rescuing those parts.... especially the
fenders. :Thumbsup

Yea it was me that cut those out. That 68 that i picked up recently needs them badly lol. I was able to salvage most of the "meat" of the rockers so we should see them back on another truck sometime soon.

You didn't happen to see what it had for a rear end did you? I have been looking for one.

It was a huge 2 spd with ratios of like 6 and 8 something.

Great find. I'm looking for a pair of fenders and filler panel to finish my custom extended cab. Gives me hope that there r still around.
