In Honor Of Winter Time.....
In Honor Of Winter Time.....
Here's an oldie...... This was my Grandfather's '38[?] Dodge
snow drift buster. The photo was taken back in 1938 on
the farm where my dad grew up in Kamrar, Iowa. Grandfather
didn't have any brand "loyalties" when it came to trucks. Whichever
local dealership had the best bargain got the business, as money
was really tight then. Everything had to "last".... Nothing was
thrown out.... just in case it [or parts thereof...] could be re-used.
My uncle [Dad's oldest brother] always told the story of the time
he dumped the clutch and spun the tires while learning to drive this
truck. Grandfather said "G*d Dammit!.... It feels like that tire
rubber is being peeled right off of my own @#%!" John

That's a lot nicer than what my Dad said to me when I did the same thing in his '69 Buick Gran Sport.
I also ended up driving the '63 Falcon wagon for a while longer.

Yeah it is crazy here too, it was in the 50's the past two days, and the little bit of snow we have had has melted in a days time after it fell, I was working outside today in a t shirt, crazy.
Last year at this time we had like 40 inches of snow and it was cold as heck.

Re: In Honor Of Winter Time.....
We had single digit temps Tuesday into yesterday. By Friday
we'll be back up into the mid 40s. We don't have any snow
to speak of now.... just a dusting. Its been a weird Winter
so far....
