HAVING THE ONLY SWEPTY AT A CAR SHOW!

The most fun for me is having had the only Sweptline pickup at any of the last three (3) shows where I've displayed mine. There are usually a handful of 60's Fords & Chevy pickups, but never have I seen a Sweptline at any of the three (3) car shows I've taken mine to this summer. That's more fun than winning! People love the look, the low style cab, the sweeping body line in the rear fenders. I even had State Senator Mike Nazzolio ask me if he could photograph my truck with me and him in the photo! WOW! Was I surprised. He loved the condition, color, mostly the way ahead styling. Everyone loves these swepty's!
Yup, it's fun owning a swepty, I never though mine would draw such admiration. Truly a fun truck that you won't see at very many car shows. YEOOOWWW! I love it!

That is one nice looking swepty you have there. Does your Miata fit in the bed?

No! The '06 Miata MX5 doesn't fit in the bed! I must say it's quite a little roadster however. The Dodge gets taken to car shows, occasional drive, nothing gets put in the bed. Guess it is rather a "toy" than a truck! I just put a rubber bed mat in it, now perhaps I'll toss something in it! [smile]

Just search his posts. There is almost always a picture in his posts and he also has a build thread.

CD:
Finally have it running right. After overhauling the carburetor, it still didn't run right. I had a very knowledgeable fellow dismantle the carburetor again, the two little ball bearings in the carb were installed wrong! Now it runs very nicely. I may take it to a horse & carriage show tomorrow if it doesn't rain.
I've had quite a bit of fun with it this summer, plan to drive it till fall, then put it away for the winter.

i have been in a few shows but what i enjoy more is just going to car shows and driving through the middle of them and watching heads turn and jaws drop-then just leaving!

I thought about selling it, but I really don't know now. I found an earlier Dodge I liked, but the deal fell through. I have it advertised but I'm enjoying it until someone buys it. My reason is I only have room for one truck in my storage garage. If I bought the earlier Dodge as planned I only have room for one. I'll probably hate myself if it sells as I'll never find another one as nice as this one. Oh well, if it sells fine, if not I'll keep it no problem either way. One thing's for certain, you'll never see another original/survivor as nice.

Gents:
The car show season is in full swing in upstate NY! This is the fourth time I've brought my sweptline to a car show this summer. Today there were over 200 cars/trucks at the annual car show in Seneca Falls, NY. Mine was once again the only sweptline there! The Ford and Chevy truck owners swarmed over my sweptline like flies on flypaper. I dare say one Ford truck owner was ready to trade his this afternoon! I spent much time telling about the lower cab height, the larger box, the everlasting slant six, the beautiful appointed Custom Cab, the rugged frame, etc, etc, etc. Yup, it's fun owning a sweptline, but it's even more fun having an original survivor with 34,587 miles to take to the shows. They're only original once, and being a sweptline only adds to the fun! I can't wait for the next car show......will I see another sweptline there? I doubt it!

My 68 D100 was the only swepty in the car show i was in this weekend, there were only a little over 200 vehicles (and my truck really isnt ready for anykind of show) but it was the only one. I put it in there just to show people a progress report from year to year on the work i have done.
