Just got her home
Just got her home
We just picked this truck up in Reno. The wife liked mine so much she wanted one. So, here it is. It looks like it was garage kept and is all original. It even has a working radio and the original head liner and floor mat. The body is completly rust free and is 99% straight. All the glass is original. The front winshield is tinted a slight green. It drove really well and has plenty of power. We will be detailing it out fixing a few small items and then I will re-paint it the original off white color. The paint has a lot of rock chips in it mainly in the front and drivers side door. The bed is good but the paint is fairly scratched in that area. It could use a good paint job. Should I repaint the unit back to the original color. I am a trained painter and should be able to paint it back to original or just leave it as is. The photos do not show the close ups of the rock chips but there are a lot of them on the front and sides. The prior owner also applied some blue stripes that have cracked and look bad those need to be removed also

OH, now you gone and done it! I'm having a hard enough time resisting the temptation to buy a nearly identical truck near me (though not in as good of shape), and then you post this?!
That truck is amazing! I'd bet that there's some original assembly markings and such still on it, that would make some of us drool.

I'd paint the front bumper only. Maybe silver even to match the rear? Then just touch up the nicks. I like my original paint, but yours is about the best I've seen. Love the dash.

Awesome....Awesome truck fella, man these sweptline trucks are the sweetest. I did not realize how many guys & gals out there are just like me & my pops until I found this forum. Keeping the faith from Steve in Nebraska.
