July 17 2009 Kirtland AFB Car Show

Post by Oxdodge »

Dang, no sweptlines! I looked everywhere. Oh well, but at least there were a few Dodge's. Not many though. This is at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque New Mexico. :Thumbsup

Willys

Also, The man that owns this Willys is named George. His phone number is on the side. If you need any graphics in the Albuquerque area give him a holler, he goes mobile. And, he will show up in this truck. Neat huh?

CV-22 Osprey. Plane or Helicopter? If you can tell, please inform the crew chiefs, pilots, and mechanics so they will stop arguing. Also, other Military/police vehicles.

And last but not least, the MONSTER TRUCK! Just once, I would like to take it through the drive-thru. Just once.

Wow, it never ceases to amaze me what a watershed year 1968 was at Chrysler corp. So many of my favorite examples are model year 1968. That Super Bee in the beginning of this post is just really great.

to be perfectly honest, unless I'm trying to buy it, I never really need to know if its a clone or a tribute or whatever term they're using currently. almost every car from the era began with the potential to wind up a slant six or a hemi, so what's the big deal anyway? I really prefer sleepers in most cases. Billboards and hockey sticks are cool, but I just like the car underneath. Especially if its a plain jane shoebox with a slant six or 318. Just a guarantee that it will run forever and that no one has beat the *#%^ out of it already.

I was thinking the same thing, I just enjoyed the show and didn't worry about what anything originally came out with.

I went to that event too, the Osprey really stole the show. I love that plane/chopper thing... How cool is that? A car show with a V22 Osprey?
