Thats a nice looking truck. I wouldn't do a thing to it. Just park it in my garage and look at it. Maybe drive it out into the driveway once in awhile to polish it.

Hola Salem Person
As you can see, all are saying, " welcome" and all are saying that you have an nice "as is" truck.

Nice looking "Cousin" that you have to the other truck in Salem.
I am sure there are others that have photos of era correct looking trucks that can show that to change this and that is not needed.

thanks for the welcome and kind words. You guys may be right, I starting to think I should leave it alone, with the exception of the cheap repaint. everything works and if I start messing with it that may change

Before you repaint, use a top quality wax and low speed buffer to shine her up, you may be pleasantly surprised at how good the old paint still looks.

Wow, that is a very clean ORIGINAL Sweptline!

Love the old black California plates. Your Grandpa was obviously good to that truck and I am sure you will be too. Post some more pictures if you get a chance. It is great to see a 'survivor' in such original good condition. Enjoy the 'new' truck and welcome to the site!
