Does anybody recommend a good source for bulk brake line components like steel line and fittings? I've got my Scarebird disc brake bracket kit and everything else as far as rotors and calipers but need a line on some parts for the rest of the plumbing.
Time to revive this thread.....finally got the engine in along with the trans. Got it all running Saturday and next will be the disc brake plumbing and adding the proportioning valve. I’ll post some pics when I get time. The cam sounds pretty nasty with open manifolds!
Got the Scarebird disc brake conversion done and drove the truck last fall for about 2 weeks. It’s was so cool to have this old truck on the road and able to stop. Only problem I have is a whiff of gas in the cab occasionally. Pulled the seat and tank yesterday to find that the last guy who worked on the tank didn’t put the spring clamps in the right place on the short piece of hose right on the top of the tank pickup. Going to apply some cold galv to the tank and reinstall.
You've got the truck looking good. Was it difficult finding a windshield and having it installed? I am going to have to have a new windshield installed in my truck very soon and wondering what companies may be recommended. Mine has the gasket with the chrome looking bead lock also, don't know if anyone still makes that.

Your local auto glass shop will handle the windshield replacement.
