scored an original radiator overflow tank. It bolted right up. Now, forbid she ever overheats, the coolant wont just dump onto the ground.

I even found an original leather/cardboard piece that goes between the core, radiator, and overflow tank to help air go through the radiator, instead of up and over :dance

and yes that is a different radiator than the one in the pic on the first page. It is a rebuilt 3 core. I got it because there was green on my other radiator (2 core), and I was losing coolant, but I didnt know from where. I had the old radiator pressure tested and it was unrepairable (leaking from cores and top tank).

I found this radiator in the pick a part (installed in a truck lol :dance ). It was $60 with a $10 core. I scrapped the old radiator and got $24...damn crooks at the pick a part

Nice score on the overflow tank. Looks like it was born there. Isn't it great not having to jury-rig things? Love it when things fall into place :Thumbsup

oh yeah...I love it when I find original parts in good condition, that I can just install, and not worry about fitting or not working.....I just installed the heater control valve I picked up at Pick A Part....now to find a good heater control cable, so I don't have to pop the hood to turn the valve...at least when the weather gets hot, NOW I can turn the heat off..before, I shut the vents off, but hot water was always running through the core (I LOVE driving with the heat coming through the vents AND firewall in the middle of summer :banghead )

on a side note, I might be moving into a new house with a garage :dance....Im not sure yet, but if I do, the 63 will be getting put together sooner then expected..and if the 72 keeps running like it is :clap , then I can focus all my time and money into the 63
