Here's my overloaded '65... 30x 80lb bags of concrete. It was the smoothest 5 miles I have ever driven in it.

The new vinyl fence that my wife and I installed.

With all that weight in the back (2400 lbs), it should have made the steering easier too! OH, and nice job on the fence!!

It's funny that you mention the steering. I commented the same thing to my wife.

Hauling some old fence panels that are getting repurposed soon

The Dude was not built for hauling, but it does get an occasional bike in the back on the bed rug. Sure he is spoiled, but like all my kids I think deep down he appreciates it.

It is a gentleman's truck to drive to Friday Night Football, one of the greatest nights in America, playoff regional championships and many fans taking pictures of The Dude.

I like this truck over Ford and Chevy because in Michigan, you rarely see a Dodge pickup because Mother Rust ate them all. Different is always better.

So I will just continue to enjoy The Dude being his own kind of truck and maybe a bag of dog or two in the back with carrots for the horse too!

This one is a few years old, my 71 W200 318 Auto. Coming home with a REAL 70 Hemi Challenger former Pro-Stock drag car, I picked up. The car is originally was Black on Black, 4speed, radio delete, manual steering and manual drum brakes. ONLY option was a N94 Fresh air hood. Known for being on a T/A Challenger. 1 of 2 N94 code hemis known to exist. Other is a red automatic. At the time I didn't know it's history just a car with a cage but researching a previous owner lead me on a hunt to find its history and I found and have talked to the original owner! Who told me he ordered it in 1970 Specifically for Pro-Stock! Unfortunately the car was involved with a drunk driver accident on the way to the 1971 Winterationals. The guy had the Challenger on a 2 axle flat bed being pulled by a 70 D100 Plum Crazy 383 Adventurer, outside of Medford, OR. around midnight he came upon a car parked sideways across the highway with no lights on! He swerved to miss the car, the trailer swiped the car and sent the Swepty plowing up 80ft. of guard rail. Ripping the rear axle from the truck. The Challenger's broke all the chains except the front left, leaving the Challenger dangling off the trailer with a bent suspension. So It never made it to face off with Sox and Martin, Dick Landy and the other big names of the day. Instead it was pulled apart and the rest is history. Hopefully someday soon I'll have her restored to her former glory!

Great story. You need to give just a little more press to your W200 though!
Looks like a bit of work ahead of you on that Challenger. One of my close friends took on a similar project a few
years back.....

That is a very nice resto on the Daytona! I Love Mopar Muscle and sweptlines! The Challenger is going to take a bit of work, it was neglected and left abandoned by a former owner. It was a perfect body before sitting out in the elements. Only 816 miles were put on it prior to it being turned into a racecar. Just enough to seat the rings. It was missing a lot when I brought it, Just had the Broadcast Sheet, Shell, Complete Dash, 426 Hemi Short Block, 18 spline 4speed, and Hemi rear springs. I have now complete Interior and Glass, an original T/A Fresh Air hood with Hemi - T/A air cleaner and front suspension. It needs a pair of nice original front fenders and a E body Dana 60. The original owner was thrilled to hear it was around still and has some of parts to the car and offered to help me out in anyway!

Yeah.... He's a master at his craft. The Daytona was in the garage at his home
for the final "detail" items.... interior, engine compartment, etc.. He lives across
the street from my folk's place so I got to see it in person.... very remarkable!
He might be able to help you out, if you need it, with parts, suggestions, etc..

What was kind of cool was that the Daytona's maiden voyage was to a car
show 3 or 4 hours away... quite a shake down cruise. I think the car took
2nd place too.
