Re: I Wonder Where This Is?
I tried following railroad tracks for about an hour, and had to move on...I was hoping to just see it from the air, just to get the real perspective for how many trucks are really there.

Well, you are all close but that is only good in horseshoes. It is in one of the plains state but the owner (which I am not) does not want me to disclose that location. In fact he asked me to remove the pictures from the web for security purposes. There are two buildings of approximately 20,000 square feet in which you must frequently turn sideways to squeeze between the vehicles. Almost all are Dodges with some Fargos and IH trucks. They date from the late 40's to the 70's with most being in the 50's and 60's. Besides the probably 200+ vehichles in the two buildings, there are at least another 100 outdoors. I asked the owner how many he had and he told me he didn't know... I estimated 350 or more and he kind of agreed with that number range. I took the pictures in the summer of 2008 and I know he has more now than then. It has been a life long accumulation from all over the west and midwest. Some have NO rust and other have varying degrees of rust. Absolutely all of the interior vehicles are restorable and many of the outside vehicle are too. It was such an amazing site to me, that I called it Dodge Truck Heaven, which seemed very fitting to any who love Dodge trucks. He owns one of the 7 1958 Fargo Sweptsides known and verified to exist. He does work on some of them, but it would be several lifetimes to ever restore all of them. He tells me, THEY ARE NOT FOR SALE.

George,
Do you have any sweptlines yourself, or did you just happen to find this site because of this thread? Not sure why your friend feels unsecure by pictures on the net. I don't see how anyone wouldn't want to share that amazing collection with everyone. I'm also kind of confused what he could possibly gain by hoarding so many vehicles? (Unless you have Jay Leno's garage.) Either way,
to the site. Hope to hear more of this "Dodge truck Heaven".

For sale or not, the fact of the matter is ALL owners are going to die, therefore ALL vehicles are eventually going to switch hands. Of that you can be 100% certain!idsnowman wrote:Well, you are all close but that is only good in horseshoes. Re: I Wonder Where This Is?
Since I never mentioned it in this post and it has been brought up again, I have been to this place since I first posted this. Yes, the owner is very protective of his stuff and was disappointed that there were pictures of it on the internet. There are dishonest people that would steal or vandalize things but there are also inthusiasts who can appreciate a collection like this. If this collection didn't exist these trucks may have been crushed a long time ago and the owner has every right to do as he pleases with the trucks. When he passes hopefully these trucks can go to others who appreciate them rather than be sold for scrap.
There are some very interesting trucks in the collection, including CSS/HPP trucks, Dudes, Sweptsides, a large collection of Rampages, and various other trucks. The owner knows nearly everything about every single truck in his collection and has an enormous wealth of information about 50s and 60s Dodge trucks in general.
