Trey,
Just a couple of days after you posted that the '69 CC was for sale by
the previous owner, I was joking around with my sister saying that she
& I could fly down to NM and drive the truck back across the states....
drop her off at her place in Indy and continue on to my home in Lockport,
NY. She said she would definitely take part in a journey like this. I was
kind of close to calling you and asking more information on the truck when
a '67 CSS came up on Ebay in my area so I cooled my heels. Your new
truck would have definitely been worth the flight down and the road trip
back across the states but you're much better served with it as you have
kids and make trips back & forth to TX..... the truck is super clean.... you
should consider yourself fortunate to have gotten it..... it wouldn't have
lasted for sale long. I ended up not bidding on the CSS [too much work
to restore it]. My '61 just passed state inspection with flying colors again
yesterday so I'm golden for another year! I'm still toiling away on my
'68 D100 SB Utiline Big Block project... taking it slow on this one.
John
i do consider my self very fortunate to have found such a clean swept, and especially a crew cab this clean. with most crews being work trucks, and not privatly owned, this is a rare find for sure.
