Thanks guys, my blue D200 is really turning out better then I thought, got my carpet today and plan on putting it in when it warms up a little more and time premits, got new king pins, spring and swaybar bushings and shocks in this winter. Hope to have A/C blowing cold in next 3 or 4 weeks. Thanks to Behindthebadge for the factory buckets, and B5alive for the seat color. I'm pretty simple minded on computors so pictures aren't good, I used my daughters camera and she emailed them to me and they looked great until I finally got them posted, sorry about that. Anyway it's a 70 D200 CS, warmed up 383, 727 with shift kit, A/C, PB, PS with a 354 sure trac and I love to drive it and watch people look and tell'm yea it's not a chevy or a ford. The 70 W100 in primer is one I put together out of my late friends salvage yard about 11 years ago with 318 that starts everytime and will climb a brick wall.
Thank You for posting the pictures. It is great encouragement. I am just starting out with my " Ole faded Blue/Green". A 71 adventurer long bed with 383. A former Forest Service backwoods camp service vehicle. Twenty years dormant in my recently deceased neighbors side yard. To my wifes dismay the truck was bequeathed to me. Her quote " That (#$%&*) truck is not coming to our house,Our neighbors are sick of looking at that piece of (#$%&*) ". I will show everyone your pictures. I will upload a pix when I have the ability.
Thank you, Your pix have given me hope for a brighter future for "Ole Faded Blue/Green". I started my project yesterday by removing the delapidated and deteriorated front bench seat and gas tank. ( at a friends workshop far out of sight).
The truck looks great. I'm certainly glad to see that those bucket seats are living a new life in your truck instead of rotting away in the junk yard like they were before. You've got a nice truck to be proud of, that's for sure.
Great looking rig...used to have a b5 blue 70 model camper special, 383/auto, 4.10 gears. 3.54's sure would have been nice to have, I'll bet you can move on down the road with those.
