When I purchased the 2013 Sweptline Calender I was very impressed and intrigued with the 4 Door 4x4 Trucks. For you guys that own them they look AWESOME !!! I also found a 65 built by ICON for the SEMA show. All I can say is I'M HOOKED !!!!!! Here is the link in case some have not seen it. Here are pics of my two latest. A 68 D200 Camper Special 383 Auto, AC, PB (was PB available on a big block in 68?) This will be my attempt at putting a Cummins and 4x4 drive line under it. The other is a 67 Shorty 6 cyl 3 speed. It will probably end up a donor for another project. Projects, projects...............

Good looking collection! PB were indeed available in 68. I had a 383 D200 with them. It had the stand off bracket to hold it out away from the firewall.

Where did you find that crew cab? You seem to find a lot of interesting trucks.

Yes, power brakes were available with a 383. They were standard on Camper Specials of that year.

Donor? Outside looks pretty decent in that view... cab floor gone, right side wiped out, or just the /6 3 on the tree relegating it to parts truck? I bought my 69 long bed as a parts donor and it ended up not only staying in one piece, but getting stock racks and a set of overload springs... but, it has a 318/727 instead of a /6 3 speed... which is also why it has been parked again for over a year... :thinking

I'd normally offer to straight swap trucks but, there are 4 short beds (non-Swept) here already... need to keep at least one long bed in my stable...

The 67 is a pretty clean truck. Some rot in the DS floor but nothing real bad. It has a very clean short box on it which I was looking to use as a donor for a 66 CSS project of which the bed is not very good. From what I have read the 6 cyl is a one year only casting (not sure why) and has been professionally rebuilt and runs good. Other than the bed I would be willing to part with this truck or part it out. The 3 speed has been moved to the floor also.

Found the Crew in Mississippi. The 383 has been removed and a 318 3 on the tree installed (dash auto still intact). The owner done that to make it more affordable to drive. It has had a repaint at some point which looks like saved alot of the problem areas. Overall I think the truck is pretty good shape. Wasn't sure about the 68 Power Brakes. I knew the valve cover was recessed in that area but since I had never seen one installed I was unsure.

Let the fun begin !!!

I just wish I could get my hands on a running 251 L6 and 4 speed with 11" clutch... I'd swap out my 318/727 without a second's hesitation and start using my truck again. If they came with the t-case from a 63 or older W300 so much the better...

Did you see the super clean 65.5-71 short wide on Memphis Craig's List? $250 for a bed and tailgate, on a trailer frame so you could just tote it home, swap the bed with your beat one AND have a short wide trailer to match the truck... :Thumbsup
