Good memory FaceChicken. I know this is the bumper that came on it from the dealership, only because my granddad bought it, and it has been in my family since (I am the 3rd owner). I actually located most of his sales paperwork from the dealership the other day - he took delivery on December 9, 1968.facechicken wrote:It was 1969IndianaDodgeMan......its on his build thread and its similar to this one, not the same..........i just dont ever remember seeing bumpers with dealership names built into them before

Very cool, all of my sales stuff was still in plastic in the glove box and my truck sat outside in the weeds for around 12 years before i rescued it!

I have a bumper that has a dealer name on it from California. They are rare in california, it came off of a 65 D100 and says Bob Sykes Dodge, Santa Clara, CA. My dad has several from ford dealers in CA.

Re: Who has the bumper like this one......
A Texas thing? Not at all! My Dad's '69 Chevy C20 had a step bumper that said "Craig Chevrolet Arvada Colo" stamped in it, and was a dealer-add-on bumper. Remember, back in the day, a rear bumper was an OPTION, whether it be a light-duty bumper, step bumper, or something else.
My old '67 CSS had a stamped bumper from a dealership in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and was on it from new.

Yea i had that one, i've got another one that says Dynamic Dodge from here in Texas and a buddy of mine has another Texas one too. I think they're kinda cool. Not on the trucks per se but cool nonetheless. I think i might start hanging these on the wall or something lol.Txas2step wrote:skyrodder666, '64 swepty. JONES MOTOR CO. BIG SPRING,TX

Re: Who has the bumper like this one......
Not sure, my truck originally came from Texas, but unfortunately not that dealership. Like i said, i dug it out of the iron pile here at work and never knew it was in there, til the other day we were getting rid of our iron pile and there it was.....then i remembered someone had one like it on their truck and wondered if it was the same dealership....which it was not. I might use it on my truck or i might sell it to whoever wants it.(wont sell it for much since it was in an iron pile and going to the scrapyard before i saved it)
