Newly Painted and Ready To Roll

Post by calmauzy »

Just finished up painting the 68 its original colors (Dodge white over Navaho yellow), interior painted as well. I plan on finishing the fire wall when I remove the engine. Had all the emblems and letters re-chromed. Just need to finish up the interior and its ready to blow them away at the local car shows.

Nice job. Where did your fuel filler disappear to?

Got that smelly thing out of the cab and installed a fuel tank under the bed, behind the rear axle between the frame rails.

very very nice, I am thinking about putting a frame nounted tank in the 300 but running a tube from the stock inlet down thru back of cab floor into the tank.

What kind of fuel tank did you use? Your truck looks great!

Thanks guys for all your kind comments. I agree, it looks better without the side trim, that's why I decided to leave it off once I removed it for painting. Anyone need the side trim before I EPAY it? I used a new fuel tank made for a 65 Mustang. Check out this link, my tank conversion is on the second page.
