The paint looks WAY better in the pics than it does in person. The person who painted it must have been in a hurry because alot of spots barely have any paint on them and I dont think there is any clear coat on it at all. I tried waxing it up a little, but it didn't help any. We painted the motor last night, so I will post some updated pics. Thanks for the compliments!

Oh, and the grille is in good shape, but I was just looking for chrome as a possibility. The front turn signal on one side is really rusted on the inside. The backup lenses are both cracked as well.

Looks good! Is the hose to your water pump coming off or loose?

Just a little TLC will make that one a sweet sweet ride!

I'll say it again; the best way to restore one is to start with one in pretty darn good shape!

Welcome to the forum. That won't take much to cherry out. You can see the rear end and exhaust thru the bed on my 67. The result of salt air and a sheet of plywood for a bedliner (period correct for the 60s & 70s). I restored that portion of my truck with a new sheet of plywood.
