DOOR KNOBS
DOOR KNOBS
Hey I went to an antique shop the other day and scored a bunch of door knobs. I am going to use them as shift knobs and broodie knobs once I work on them a bit.![Dance :dance](./images/smilies/icon_dance.gif)

Re: DOOR KNOBS
Awesome!
Shift knob is easy, all you do is make it from course to fine thread (or vice versa)![Thumbs UP :Thumbsup](./images/smilies/icon_thumright.gif)

Re: DOOR KNOBS
Thanks!
I just decided to mess around one day. I thought id need to get fancy and insert the threaded piece from an actual shift knob. After hitting an old one with a hammer, and the piece hitting my knee at approximately 90 mph; I found that the door knob basically threaded onto the shaft. So i used a tap and changed the threads and never looked back!!

Re: DOOR KNOBS
There are smaller glass door knobs for french doors that would probably be perfect size for a 3!

I'll take a picture side by side so you can see the size difference a little later on. ![Thumbs UP :Thumbsup](./images/smilies/icon_thumright.gif)
