69 D100 > W100
Here are some pictures of my 69 D100 turned 4 wheel drive. Engine is a 65 413 out of a new yorker, front end/rear end, 4spd, np 208d transfer case are all out of a 1985 w150. This was the second drive train swap as the first was from a 78 w200 and after the swap the front/rear end, transmission (4spd), transfer case (NP203) were all junk and i couldn't hardly drive the truck. The seats and center console are out of 91 d250. enjoy some pics.

Re: 69 D100 > W100
33s on 15x8 wheels, the only rubbing I have is on the drag link. The only lift is what the '85 front springs provided if any. I am looking to raise it up another 3-4 inches but I do not want to use rear blocks and I cannot find any rear springs that have the center pin in the right location and I don't want to spend the money on custom springs.magnumcid wrote:Looking good! hmm... I sort of had my heart set on 33s and was pretty sure they wouldn't rub... maybe it has something to do with the offset of the wheels?moparbay wrote: 33s on 15x8 wheels, the only rubbing I have is on the drag link. Re: 69 D100 > W100
Yeah i know but blocks stink all you gain is height not any suspension performance. I might just have to relocate the spring perches so I can use 72-93 rear springs. Something to think aboutHobcobble wrote:In case you didn't know, '68 and earlier W100s & W200smoparbay wrote:33s on 15x8 wheels, the only rubbing I have is on the drag link. I've Dreamt of converting my 69 D200 Camper Special to 4 Wheel Drive for years! is it difficult?
Re: 69 D100 > W100
rough country makes a kit says 70 and newer, I have it on my 69 and it seems to fit ok. you will need to extened your driveshaft though.moparbay wrote:33s on 15x8 wheels, the only rubbing I have is on the drag link. Re: 69 D100 > W100
I didnt think it was tough but it was really labor intensive and cost a lot more than i figured. its all the little stuff that really brings the total cost up like drive shafts and brake lines and other stuff i didnt think about.TheVictor wrote:I've Dreamt of converting my 69 D200 Camper Special to 4 Wheel Drive for years! is it difficult?

Re: 69 D100 > W100
Thanks for the heads up. I'll make sure to save up a bit of cash before I dive into the conversion. I'm glad to hear that its not too terribly complicated.
Thanks Much
