It was good to see your truck in person in Vancouver! Nice ride! I was the one parked with the red stock 64. We were sitting on the tailgate.

I'd be interested in seeing pics of the front axle and how you flipped it. Seems to give it the stance everyone wants. Whats the ride like and how does it handle?

Re: The New Guy!
Love the old school look with the smoothies!
Needs some wide whitewalls though, those modern stripe types just don't quite do it for me.
The 440 makes them really fun.
Although it needs wider whites, I get lots of great compliments from my DD (though it's not currently a Swept,.. YET):

When does old school go out of style, anyway?![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: The New Guy!
Thanks for all the compliments! Heres some pics of the front axle. I found the idea of how to lower it after searching through the posts here.
For the front i cut two pices of of 2 inch square tubing and put them under the mounting plate on the axle. then put a pice of 1/4 inch strap under them and drilled a hole for the spring bolt to fit into. the shock mounts are now on top ofthe axle. both front and back springs only have 4 leaves (was like that when i bought it). i had to buy longer u blots and right now the threads are pointing up so they hit the frame when the suspension compresses.
For the back all i did was flip the front spring mounts. had to bend the spring to get it to come all the way around (just a lil).
the ride isint bad at all (except for the u bolts hitting the frame). It does bump steer but its not as bad as ive heard reading the boards here. i think whoever had it before me bent the mount from the drag link to the spindle(dont remember what its called) because tis not a smooth bend. dont know if that would affect it tho.

Re: The New Guy!
That is a really neat looking truck!
I really like the cat eye headlight covers and the moon discs. I might need to go get some for my 67!
