Workin on the '61 W100..

Post by PowerMan »

I worked a little on my Uncle's '61 W100 today. It's been sitting quite a while. I did a complete brake job two summers ago and one of the wheel cylinders had developed a leak, so we took the wheel cylinder apart and found that both of the pistons were facing the same way. The wheel cyls were new when I put them on but who ever put it together from the factory put them in wrong. :banghead Anyways we also had to replace the lower front transfer case seal which had also developed a leak from sitting so long. Hopefully we can run it around tomorrow. It has a '70 340 from a Cuda I believe. Here's some pics of it on the lift:

The trick is to keep one running so you can get to the parts store.
