What the heck! I seen some pics like this in europe where they opened a barn and found all kinds of sports cars. I hope this doesn't take too much space. Here it is: A recently retired New York man wanted to use his retirement funds wisely,
decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal .The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 years; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs.
The estate was being sold to pay back taxes. There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. No one
wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway... so, no one made an offer on the place.
The New York gentleman bought it as is, paying just over half of the property's worth; moved in, and set about to access the barn... curiosity was killing him.
So, he and his wife bought a generator and a couple of grinders... and cut thru the welds.
What was in the barn...? The doors were welded shut, but a grinder took care of that. A warehouse full of vintage high performance cars!!!

Waaay too flat for Grand Junction, definitely. I lived there, and that's not GJ or anywhere close. Has to out in the Plains somewhere. Obviously, with the railroad right there, the building had a railroad siding running next to it, with that loading dock area like it is. Without much signs of a town close by, I'd guess a silo facility, farm implement sales, old train station, or something along those lines.

.

That story is a hoax, period. The cars are in Portugal, but they were stored like that intentionally and were not "forgotten" about. The owner simply decided it was time to sell them, so he took pictures and posted them. Whether the cars are now sold or not is anyone's guess.

It was probably a building they stored ice in back in the day, to keep things fresh in the summer as there were no refridgerated cars back then, just my guess.
Cant see any plates, and everything looks to be complete, what the heck. A collection that makes mine look like childs play.

I thought about it being an icehouse, too, with the HD concrete construction, and it being on a railroad siding. What a cool place to have, so to speak!
