Gas pedal mount, floor linkage attachment

Just installed new floors in my '63 and getting ready to weld in a few nuts for the gas pedal mount. It appears the "new" gas pedal (was in truck when I bought it) doesn't even come close to the arm on the linkage, or the hole in the pedal isn't big enough to pop in the pedal mount either for that matter. Anyone have a picture of how it connects.

The correct pedal mounts to the floor with 2 big screw head bolts and is "hinged" by a fold in the rubber at the floor. It doesn't attach to the throttle linkage, just rubs/slides against it. Been decades since I last looked at the back of one so can't say what it looks like. The pedals in your pics don't look quite right.
Last time I saw a new one for sale it was around $100 and I missed out on it. That was at least 5 yrs ago.

Me thinks the pedal shown in picture may be for the A series vans and pickups. :thinking :thinking

Yeah there's no way the pedal in top photo will work, it does bolt to floor but should attach to a pin, but not to the one shown. New pedals are now $200 with a used one for $100.

Maybe you can remove that pin mount to make the backside flat.... then attach
a chunk of thick plastic for a slide surface? :thinking Having the two floor mounting
holes on that pedal gets you halfway to where you need to be, anyhow.... :Thumbsup :2cents
