I'm interested too.
They seem to run the gamut. Unfortunately, I suspect that in most cases, you get what you pay for.
Anybody know of a good quality medium priced set?
Speedo, tach (prefer 6k top end), oil press, water temp, volts or amps, fuel.
FWIW, VDO has a neat 55mm 0-6k tacj that would fit nicely in a Townie dash for $55.

A lot of people seem to like these and they aren't too expensive. I can't say I really like any of the designs.

I run a couple of Autometer gauges and they are really nice units. I have a vacuum gauge and an oil pressure gauge (electric, I just can't bring myself to pipe hot oil into the cab no matter how good the materials and connections are). I don't run that exact style sub something similar.

I used to run Autometer accessory gauges, great quality but they're a bit pricey.
Sunpro has a nice product line and is more reasonably priced.

I have Isspros in mine. Used for years in 18 wheelers. They have several different lines, some of which are better than others. More $$$$, too.

I'm running "autogage" by autometer in my 69 The trio runs $60 ish from Summit. If $$ is a big factor look around on E-Bay and you'll be able to pick up some Sunpro or Equus gauges for easy money - especially if it's a discontinued line

I used IEQUUS gauges for my powerwagon. I bought them from Schucks Auto Parts or whatever they call themselves now. I really like them. I built a gauge panel out of aluminum and used LED lights for the turn signals, high beam/parking brake/4wd indicator lights. I was having problems with wiring because this truck sat for many years and the mice ate the wiring so I started from scratch. It wasn't what I'd call easy but not bad.

NICE ! I did something similar on my 79 PW. Pretty much just hole sawed the original openings to accept 2" gauges and modified the speedo board to keep the speedo, signals, etc.

I had some Equus gauges in my Fury when I first put it together to keep an eye on the 440.
Just needed something cheap and temporary, O'Reillys had them for about $20 each.
The mechanicals were pretty accurate, however the oil gauge sprung a leak and filled with
oil after 6 months! I then switched over to electrics, but the temp gauge was off 20 degrees
and the oil pressure was off 15 pounds! I then switched over to Autometer electrics
and they are dead on.
My 71 had a Equus triple gauge set in it when I bought it. 2 yrs later they were all dead.
The previous owner installed them because factory gauges didn't work. Once the Equus
gauges died I did some checking and had the factory ones working in a weekend. Just bad
grounds and a sender.
I do still run the Equus tach Truckluvr shows. It has proven to be a reliable, budget tach.

I was planning on running Aurora gauges but then heard they were crap. From what I hear Autometer and Classic Instruments are supposed to be the best but they are usually higher priced. I guess you get what you pay for.

The Equus were priced the same as the Autometer gauges (A tad more actually) and they look 10x better.
I bought all mechanical.
