63 d200 tail light wiring

i am attempting to un-mangle my tail lights the driver rear works fine, but the split to the passenger is a mess, the wiring that runs along the frame to the lights has 3 wires yellow, brown and green wire, yellow and green run to the drive side light, what is the brown wire for? How do i get the pass side tail light wired to the frame wiring correctly? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks donnie

if memory serves the yellow is running lights and should go to both sides, green is left blinker and brown is right blinker. the lights ground to the frame, or well, the body. so you should only have 2 wires sticking out of the housing. one would be for yellow, the other is green or brown depending on what side you wire. brakes work thru the turn signal wires so you wont have a seperate wire for those.

A good way to remember is yellow for left signal (the yellow stripes and lines on the road) and green for the right signal, (roadside grass)...brown, all that is left
