So looking at the wiring diagram for my 69 d200 CC, I see that from the back up switch ( I assume they also mean nuetral safety ) there are two wires..one orange, one black. I located my nuetral safety switch on the 727 and followed it up to the firewall connection. Now, the orange wire goes somewhere, but no black wire???
So, I was hoping to tag into the black wire that should be going back to the rear of the truck, for my reverse lights, but no black wire...any thoughts, suggestions? Do I just *#%^ into the black wire near the nuetral safety switch and run back to the reverse lights??? Thank you, mattc

Cant say for sure on a truck, but on my 67 Coronet the reverse light switch is tied in with the shift lever, not the neutral safety switch.

Re: Reverse lights on a 69
The switch should have 3 wires going to it.
The middle one, should be the orange one that goes to the starter relay.
The outer 2 are interchangeable. Power should come from the fuse box to
one of the outer wires and then the other outer wire goes to the reverse lights.

Re: Reverse lights on a 69
Great to know...could you tell me where I could expect to find the black wire that (according to the wiring diagram) runs to the reverse lights? Do I just have to make my own? And if so, do I tap into one of those other wires?? thank you in advance, mattc

How about trying the reverse and follow the wire thats hooked to the lights at the back.

Ufo, the lights aren't hooked up, just broken and busted...looking to add them on somehow??
Re: Reverse lights on a 69
Since it's all busted up. Run a new wire.
Follow the diagram you have.
