Just bought a 1970 D-200 3/4 Ton pick-up. First time owning a Mopar truck. The front end sheet metal is trashed and I need a replacement front clip. What years will interchange and does anyone know of any parts trucks in the Seattle area? Had no luck so far at the wrecking yards. Thanks,

I may be wrong, but I think that the core supports for the early '65's
and back had extra recesses for the 4 headlamp set up and different
mounting points/hardware for the grills. The '68 & earlier fenders will
work but if you're going to use '70 fender plaques, you'll more than
likely have to drill more holes to mount them. The '61 through '67 hoods
had the drop lip to follow the 4 headlamp and pie plate set ups. The '68
hoods were a one year hood with the straight lip but still kept the louvres
on the top. The '69-'71 hoods were the same but they had their own
hood latches.... you'd have to match up the appropriate year latches.
Hope some of this helps.

John, I believe the hood latch changed between 69 and 70. On my 69 you reach through the grill to open the hood, but I believe the 70 -71 latch sticks out the front above the grill.

Russ,
Thats a good point..... seeing as though the '68 & '69 grill are the same.
Thanks for bringing that up! :Thumbsup Something else I thought of is the
secondary hood latch.... what year did they start showing up?? :thinking

I've got a real nice set of fenders which I'm keeping, but I've also got a set of "NO RUST or BONDO" fenders that could use minimal body work to straighten out. I'll be in Federal Way August 15th thru the 17th. Email me if interested.

Thanks.....Don
