1965 tilt steering

I have a 65 that has a tilt column that looks a lot like the non tilt column. Doesn't look like a newer column. I was told that tilt was not offered in 65. Can someone else confirm that and if so when was it first available? I've tried to find what the options were in 65 without a lot of success.
Thanks, Ed

From what I have read Dodge didn't offer tilt steering column in trucks until late 1970s, and those were Saginaw GM.

A picture would help us identify what you have.

Tilt was never available in the sweptline era. None of my 60's mopar cars had it either. First ever saw it in the 70's, maybe the 73 Polara I had, don't remember.
I have a 66 D100 with a Flaming River tilt column installed. It does look similar to the factory column.

I believe our 71 Chrysler 300 had it. I had a 79 truck with it too. I don't recall any of my other 70s trucks having it.

I just shortened and installed a 67 Imperial tilt/telescopic in my 64 D100 shortbed and hooked it up to the Fox body power rack and pinion that came with the QA1 independant suspension already installed.

Here is the only pic I had, not great but you can see the tilt lever just above the brake pedal. I had a look under the dash, nothing obviously modified, and the steering whel looks original??
Thanks!!

The earliest mention of tilt steering in a Mopar that I could find was the 1964 Imperial.

I can't tell from that picture. I would guess that if not original then it was replaced with a later column instead of modified.

I see a 6,000 rpm tachometer.

Edit: I see you are restoring an HPP truck.

Yes it's a 1965 CSS HPP, Collecting parts for now. It had a poly of some description installed.
