Just wanted everyone to know about this outfit that manufactures OEM park brake cables and a host of other brake related parts. They told me they no longer have the specs for the Sweptline cables, but can still make them. Go to inlinetube.com, 1800-385-9452, Tech Support (586)532-1338

just to follow up this recommendation,

I didn't get any cables mades but,
I have used these guys in the past because they were the only place I could find online that had all stainless flare nut fittings in all the different threadings required by my D100. not the cheapest, but I just couldn't use plated steel fittings after going through the trouble of using CuNi lines !
they're pretty easy to get on the horn and helpful as well..
but are not super well versed in the idiosyncrasies of our sweptlines, though... they did sent me a wrong size or two at first. but when I finally stopped being lazy and measured the thread pitch myself, they sent it right out to me.

here's some of their stuff at work on my truck:

should last at least another 50 years !

I have a 66 d200 that had the lines replaced before I got it. The problem is I doubt it was set up right. I have 5/16 coming from the master to the distribution block followed by 1/4 everywhere else. Is this right???

I can't really say; my '69 D100 only uses 3/16" lines

but it does use three different sizes of flare nuts which I guess was dodge's way of making sure you didn't mix up the different circuits

My 65 d100 had a 1/4 line coming from the single pot master to distribution block and then 3/16 to the wheels. I replaced with dual circuit master and all 3/16 lines.

i am trying to gather everything i need to avoid a trip to the store in the middle (impossible right?!)

are the three sizes you refer to:

9/16-18 in and 1/2 -20 on the master and 3/8- 24 everywhere else with 3/16 lines?

THANKS!

your post just reminded me that there are actually FOUR different size flare nuts on my truck..

i can't quite remember exactly how many of each
but i just measured the different threadings and they are:

9/16" x 20 (NOT 18 !)
1/2" x 20
7/16" x 24 (i think there's two of this size on the stock junction block)
3/8" x 24 everywhere else

best thing is to crawl under the truck and confirm how many of each size you'll need ahead of time,
i know i had to order three different times !

thank you! but damn, i ordered a 9/16-18 because this master on rock auto said it was.http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinf ... 476&jpid=1

i actually ordered a CENTRIC Part # 13067001 from them which was titled "premium" lol, but my fittings should arrive tomorrow and if its wrong, ill just grab some locally since i didnt get any 7/16 either.

thanks again

just got my fittings and my master is indeed 9/16- 18! so i guess maybe different manufacturers use different sizes or maybe different for years or maybe even yours isnt original?

still going to grab a couple 7/16, thanks for the heads up

yes my master cylinder was definitely a remanufactured replacement but I don't know why someone would've swapped out the hard line as well and use a weird threading...
unless there was a model year changeover (mine's a '69)..
-sigh-
o well i did already rebuild the master but now if i ever need to replace it I guess I'm going to have another headache..
