Well as luck would have it the power brake booster on my 71 D100 is shot. Anyone have one that they want to get rid of?

I got one from advanced auto I think, I told them to look up a 1974 d200. Lifestyle trucks 3/4 and 1 ton have the same type. My 1989 Cummins too.

I found one on Rock Auto for $73! The one that I had on was actually from a 72, so I'm guessing it was not a factory install....

Not to hijack but had a somewhat pertinent question for the booster experts...
I have a 1970 D100 but mine did not come with a booster. If I bought just the booster will my existing master cylinder bolt to that? My master cylinder is a dual pot and has 4 mounting holes. Thanks in advance.

BBail I'm not real certain but, I believe there is a difference in the length of the brake rods between the master cylinder and the non-master cylinder. Jim

They have a different rod and also a Power Brake Master Cylinder only has 2 bolts instead of 4 like a manual master. I would get a booster out of the junkyard to get the rod.

My '71 parts truck has a booster. Think it might be original? Haven't looked at it very closely yet. Thinking I might want the booster after all...

Priorreman.com rebuilt mine from a 71.

Part number I'll have to look up on the order sheet, but I got the last one. I don't think mine was the original as it matched up to the one shown on a 72. I have a 71. It fit just fine. Master cylinders are like $20, don't bother with rebuilds or junkyards.
