leaf spring lower 65 D100

Post by Twotacotuesday »

I'm trying to lower my 65 D100 225 s/6 on a looow budget. I have been researching the forum but have some questions. I have 4 leafs on the front. A friend said I can safely get 3" leaving just one spring. How low will it drop and is it safe to leave one spring?

I wouldn't recommend just one leaf. It just doesn't sound safe. Plus I'm pretty sure you'll have bump steer.

Check with your friend to see if he has a life insurance policy written on you.
Taking three springs from those front packs should put your oil pan firmly
on the asphalt. :pale Go to the link that Doug posted above.

Check with Patrick66 on his '68 D100. He ordered a drop spindle front axle
from a reputable manufacturer which, in my opinion is the ONLY safe way
to get a straight axle Sweptline lower to the pavement.
