19.5 tires

Post by thinair33 »

Hey Guys,

I have come across some vintage 19.5 rims for my W200. Does any know of some tires available? I am crossed eyed from looking thru the web for these things. I know someone has them as I saw an ad in a magazine for vintage military trucks. I can't find the ad, nor remember the company.

What size/style you looking for? 19.5s are common, medium duty trucks and motorhomes run them. you will pay thru the nose at rickson I believe, but they'll be a couple bucks each no matter what. Tread life should be good though.

PS

Has anyone seen a 19.5" that's 35-38" tall?

What I was looking for is an All Terrain tire like tread pattern similar to those used when these wheels were an option.

I operate a Heavy and Medium Duty repair shop and dont really want such a hard side wall tire. I have several photos of these trucks from the time period and they have a more semi-offroad or all terrain type tire.

I think you know what I'm getting at, a more non-OTR tire.

Hey Russ,

Those G171 are similar in style to what I am referring to. Do they ride well? I do like the look, can you post a picture of yours on the truck please?

Thanks
James

Denman and Cooper make some olskool lookin' traction tires but I don't think they're for 19.5" wheels.

I don't know of any non-HD 19.5" tires.

I'd like some 19.5 wheels if you decide to pass on them.
