Most likely, a Stromberg WW2 carb. My '62 D100 had a 727 LoadFlite and used the
Stromberg WW2. You started to see the Carter BBDs in '67-'68 and later....

I run a Carter on my 66 W100 but have changed it over to cable throttle . No linkage in mine to fall apart or affect throttle when useing off road. Used an A body Dodge pedal assembly and cable. Been that way for 32 years now.
And it is a 4 spd.

My '66 d200 had the same carter bbd w/the home made bar connected to the kick down linkage.I just made certain that the linkage was properly adjusted from idle to full travel. Worked great.

It was an easy conversion. I also did my 70 D500 using a MOPAR cable throttle and pedal assembly. Had to on that truck as the original linkage would not line up correctly due to changes I did. Cable fixed the misalighnment.

I recently (last 4 weeks because students were involved) went from the stock Carter to an Edelbrock 4 bbl on an Edelbrock 2100 series performer dual plane intake. I love the swap and I found my intake on Craigslist for $120. Quite a bit cheaper than a new one. Keep looking on Craigslist, and facebook classifieds. I found the Carb on facebook and I paid 120 for that. This is the second V8 I have put it on.
It might take some time to do it but it is worth it. If you go with the Edelbrock option plan on a funny gap from the heat port in the middle of each head. You will need the 8007 kit and an early Chrysler throttle block/plate thing. I can't remember that part number but just thumb thru the book and it will say early Chrysler. It was a pretty easy swap and a lot of fun to show the kids how to do things.

Yea I'd love to stick a 4bbl on it. Trying not to spend 400-600 just for an intake though. Lol
