Yoke nuts

Post by 1surfer »

I am pulling all 3 driveshafts and yokes off of my 1968 W100.

My neighbor said he would help me. He is a big hot rod guy. Has a garage full of pretty eye candy.

So wish us luck ...

I will be taking the driveshafts to a Denver driveline shop for analysis and repair and possible replacement. ( Ouch ! )

Does anyone know what size the yoke nuts are ?

Are all 6 the same size ?

I don't have a socket that big so I need to purchase one.

I will be replacing all of the yoke seals as well as the yoke nuts.

Are there any recommendations for what particular seal is the best for a mostly stock vehicle ?
I have seen that there are several types of seals.
