To those of you who have pulled their engine, will it clear the core support without having to pull the front tires and lower the front end?

'68 D200 318ci using standard engine lift (cherry picker) and intake manifold/carb mounting plate.

Thanks, Andrew

Of course, you'll want to remove the radiator to keep from maybe bumping it, and also the fan which sticks out pretty far :salut . Here I am pulling the engine out of my 70 parts truck. I used this 318 in my '68. OH.... and I didn't even remove the hood!

Just a word of advice from the guy (me) who has made many mistakes working on vehicles. When I did the motor swap in my crewcab I had a small issue. I couldn't pull my truck in all the way and have enough room to move both motors around etc... Well, my truck was parked where my garage door rolls up and I couldn't open the hood all the way up :banghead I had a hell of a time getting the right angle on the motor to sneak it in there. Maybe do a dry run of the hood and surroundings first just to make sure :Thumbsup

W and D series 100 to 300 are easy to change motor. But when I did my D 500 the tires would not flatten out enough to get motor up and over the rad support. That was a fight with my engine hoist. Did it , But it was a pain. :pale :banghead
