OK, a while back I saw a Swepty with a Cummins in it on this site, what does it take to squeeze one under the hood?

Box the frame first, pwrwgndrvr posted some pictures of his D100 with a cracked frame because it wasn't done.

Use the "Search" feature at the top right of this page. :Thumbsup
You'll find a few threads covering the topic. As JimE mentioned, it
would be a good idea to box your frame.....

Yeah, I saw the pics of the cracked frame, I already figured on boxing it even though it's a '73 IFS front. I just didn't know if any one was running an intercooler, what trans are people going with... Any help would be great.

Since you are using IFS look at some posts by Cageman about his Cummins truck. His truck also has IFS. There are others who have done Cummins swaps that have posted lots of information.

Thanks, I think he's the one I remember having done the cummins swap, didn't know he had the IFS setup on his truck, good to know. How's your truck coming along?

I'm so slow I don't even have a build thread. The IFS clip is spliced to the frame. I've done lots of sanding on the frame getting it ready for paint. I think the sanding is as good as I'm going to get it. Now on to cleaning the frame and hopefully paint before winter. I'd like to get my garage back so i don't have to park my daily driver outside with all the snow and ice.
