383 big block help

i have a stock 383 broken down. i want to add headers and 4 barrel carb, but my problem is i dont know what kinda cam i have. and i would like to get that thump sound while idleing. what would be good if i went with stock parts or if i wanted to do some aftermarket internals what should i use?

oh yeah i also will be using a three speed and a column shift. and a rear end out of a b body car.

Need more info... Like what gear ratio you have. How are you using your truck? ARE you using stock components? What is your budget if not going for a stock rebuild?

Man I wish I could tell you more but I have no idea what the gear ratio is in the rear end. I just know its from a car. And I probably just drive it around town and things like that. Everything else is stock on the truck. Like I said I will be using a 3 speed from a 70 d100. I hope this helps.

Sir
If you use a Thermo Silicone Fan Drive and the matching Cooling Fan
you will no longer use the HP Engery to spin what you are currently using.
Because of this un-used HP the vehicle will perform better and the MPG
data will improve.
