Torque specs
Torque specs
I was wondering if anyone knows the torque specs for a 68 d100 with the 225 slant 6. I need the torque specs for the flywheel. Also, does anyone have a good way to cross tighten them? I'm guessing just turn the crank, tighten one, turn tighten another and hope it's good enough?

Re: Torque specs
FSM says 60# for flywheel "nuts". Method is simple - if u can't reach it, turn it til u can!

Woops, I actually needed the bellhousing to flywheel torque specs. I ordered a shop manual, is this the one you guys are using?

Re: Torque specs
as far as the bell bolts, I never torqued them, just tightened them. never had a problem with them coming apart.

Re: Torque specs
That's just the supplement, it goes with the 67 shop manual. So, there will be a lot of missing information in that manual, it will only have the changes for 68. It does have all the Specifications in the rear though.68swep wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 5:24 pmWoops, I actually needed the bellhousing to flywheel torque specs.
