I need to replace the clutch slave cylinder return spring that is down by the transmission. I checked with Napa and they did not have any idea what I needed. This is for a slant 6 1968 W200 (4-speed if it matters).
Does anyone know a part number or correct name if what I typed up above is incorrect?
Thank you!
Jim

Bet PT # wont help as it will be discontinued. Just find an appropriate spring for it.

Re: Part Number Assistance
I'd trust dodgeboykim's answer better than mine; however, to answer your question:
it's a clutch release fork return spring, and
the best that I can tell, yours is the same as mine,
which is part number 1938 450.
here are the pages from the parts book: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m8s2geytvzqc ... 0.pdf?dl=0
here are pages from a catalog with the part number - who knows how accurate: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8um39vo6nry2 ... 0.pdf?dl=0
