Wondering if a rear axle from a 91 d250 would bolt into my 71 d200? It's on Craigslist and I think it should be a Dana 60. I'd rather have it if it is a 3.54 and get rid of the funky reverse threads on one side and possibly better drums too.
Any info would be appreciated.

Might be a Dana 70 or 71. Depending on the truck it could possibly have a single track 3.08 gear. I think the gear selection for a a Dana 71 is limited..,

My '91 had a Dana 70 with 3.55 gears, and my '93 350 Dually had the same axle with 3.73 gears.

I just put an 89 D250 Dana 60 in my 69. The perches are off by millimeters but you can pull the leafs enough for it to fit. Overall it is slightly wider but like it was meant to be. Good luck!
