Springs in clutch center, Disc material disintegrates, Pressure plate release lever(s) fail. Clutch slave cyl/master cyl failure. Throw out bearing could fail , Clutch would probably still work but noisy or not fully release. :thinking

Looking at the clutches for the 1970 w-100 at rock auto I notice the three prong and the diaphragm style with many prongs.
What is the difference?

I have a 69 power wagon , and it takes the three prong disc. I think the diaphragm is for earlier models.
