Basic Question: Which 727...

Post by archlab »

...is normal for a D-100? I want to say that the 'Long-Shaft' is correct. Also, what other things to watch for? Sp.ine types? Torque Converters? etc, etc

I should know this, but don't. I am asking because I found a 727 which the owner says came out of a running 1975 van. He seems pretty reputable & have no reason to doubt him. Since the 727 came w/ the Torque Conv, & only cost $100, I bought it. It is a Long Shaft, which seems right for my truck.

My D-100 is a 318, which I elieve is original, but don't know (it's not a Poly 318).

Any info? Thank you.

The 2wd '69 auto tranny Sweptline would have been originally
equipped with a long tail shaft 727 Loadflite [Torqueflite].
