From my FSM.....
Above 90F = SAE 140
-10F to 90F = SAE 90

I never heard of a rear being called a "Pig".... is that a term others are familiar with? and somehow passed me by?

I have always used 90W gear oil in a rear... I never had used a 140W before.

I have heard removeable third member type rear ends (Ford 9" & Chrysler 8 3/4") being called pigs, but not Dana's. Anyways I understood his question & would have given same answer as John.

I think in your build you mention your rear end oil stinking.... Does that mean there is skunk oil additive in it for a limited slip d60?

Rear end, or Hypoid Gear oil has an extreme pressure additive that stinks. It is a chemical related to Indole and Skatole, the stuff that makes primate excrement repellent to the human nose.

Circle trackers sometimes call the removable part that carries the ring and pinion of a 9"F**d or the Chrysler equivalent a "pig". You don't want to know what they call the business end of a Halibrand quick change :shame
