Damon's Project going to have to go to storage!

Post by damon »

Hey Folks;

I am about to give up on finding a good rust free pull handle style drivers side door for my truck. I've tried everything and everywhere I can think of to get a good rust free one! I can't afford to put a bunch of money into trying to fix a rusted one just to have it rot out again in a few months. My truck is sitting in the body shop in the way and they want me to move it so I guess I'm going to have to try to rent a tall enough storage shed somewhere. It's over 7 foot tall so it wont go through a regular overhead door. If anyone has any ideas where I can get a good door Please contact me!!!!!!

Thanks;
Damon

I bought the last NOS drivers side door skin that Vintage power wagon had to sell, that wont fix the inner part of the door which is what I can't find and is what tends to rust out on these doors. They rust out the bottom lip, by the drain holes, and through the inner panel.

The inside section of 67 and newer doors are different at the latch and will not interchange.

I'm sure something will eventually turn up so don't give up.
