MINE IS STILL A NON RUNNING 1970 2WD CREW...
THE 440 IS NOW RESIDING WHERE IT BELONGS AND I HAVE THE LIFT AND ALL THE 4WD STUFF FOR THE CONVERSION ..
THE ONLY THING I HAVENT ROUNDED UP FOR THIS PROJECT IS TIME...

Russ, WOW---I love that Truck. I want mine to look as nice as that.Russ wrote:Mine is like me, retired and not used to hard work anymore.I mostly use it to fill up half of my garage and add to my insurance bill, but do take it out about once every month, maybe more often if I need something from Lowe's or Home Depot. At least the insurance is cheap, about $15 per month.
I have seen Russ' rig in the flesh. It's as nice as the pictures.LAWFISH wrote:Russ, WOW---I love that Truck. Thanks for the compliments.
You stole that truck for $225. I love those 67 short wide W100's. The first W100 I ever remember seeing was an orange 67 shortie. I loved it and had to have it. It took me about three months of looking around to find out who owned it. I finally got in touch with the owner and he was willing to sell it, so it was in my driveway the next day.
I've had my 69 for over ten years now. I'm getting a little bit 'itchey" for a new project and I've been thinking of putting it on Ebay. I haven't quite talked myself into doing it yet.

Your 68 is looking good! I realy like those chrome headlight rings. Are you running an open diff in the rear? Do you notice any reduced traction in 2x with the added weight of the winch?![]()

The 4:88 is open. I wish to heck I had a 4:10 or 3:54 gear. Its no speed demon. I haven't noticed
any difference in traction with the winch on front..... it doesn't stress the front leafs as there are 7 or 8
of them.
