A General Thankyou

Post by Snowdog »

Logging in this morning to send a general thank you and note of appreciation to everyone on the forum that has taken the time to help with the restoration of my '61 D100.

Though starting in some instances with no experiences, I've been able to find guidance, and in the process learn a lot which I can now pass on.

I've gone from hauling grandpa's truck from a field, where it sat for 30 years, to being able to enjoy a cruise here and there. Best to all of the helpers here.

Glad you have it running & are getting use from it. Two things destroy a vehicle; overuse/abuse & non-use/neglect.

Was your grandpa the original owner?

Grandpa purchased the truck in '64 from a rancher down the road. From then on it was his favorite truck. My uncle took possession in around '91 and drove it for a few year, and after that it was sitting in the field.

Having some big issues finding a tie rod end, as apparently my D100 needs D300 steering parts, but as soon as that's fixed I can get out for another cruise.
